...and while you are checking over the wiring harness, this little card might help you identify each of the circuits. Jim Morton of the Carolina Jaguar Club told me about a recent trip to Africa and a journey in a Land Rover with a high beam out. When they stopped to fix it and opened the bonnet, Jim said 'look for a blue wire with a white stripe'. They were amazed by his knowledge but once you know the protocol, the colors are consistent for most English built cars from the '30 through to the '70s when many new wire colors were introduced to deal with the increasing use of electronics.
