88 to 93 Jaguar XJ6 Scheduled Maintenance

Download this page if you are going to service your 1988 to 1993 XJ6

We have developed these maintenance procedures to comply with the factory recommended maintenance (nothing has been omitted in order to maintain your factory warranty) and we have added a few additional operations that came out as technical bulletins or that our experience has shown were needed to properly care for the cars that live in our climate (North Carolina). The work has been scheduled to be performed in the most efficient and logical sequence for us and part numbers, quantities and torques have been included to assure consistency. Check your vehicle's manual to be sure that these data apply to your vehicle.

If you cannot print these to your satisfaction or just want a nice laser printed set, a full set of 7.5k, 15k, 30k, 60k, or 10k, 30k, 60k, covering all the Jaguar models at this web site and printed on 110lb smooth white card can be purchased for $20. Call our Parts Manager Robert at (919) 596 4250 or fax him at (919) 596 4780. or e-mail at FCECLtd@aol.com

Temperature Transmitter chart

OK, No more guessing if the coolant or air temperature sender is out of spec. This chart will enable you to take either a resistance reading or a voltage reading (ignition on - engine off) at any temperature and know if it is OK. Download and print this image onto a 3x5 card or similar and keep it in your toolbox. Note that this is a pretty universal spec. Only exception is the Series III XJ6 which feeds 10v not 5v to the sensor. The resistance of the sensor itself is the same.
